Gun violence brought Max and Wendy together in 2018. Wendy was a California Leader of Moms Demand Action, the largest gun violence organization in the country, and a founder of San Diegans for Gun Violence Prevention, one of the first gun violence prevention coalitions in the country. Max joined the local chapter of Team Enough, the youth wing of the Brady Campaign. He then became a leader of March for Our Lives San Diego, one of the largest March for Our Lives Chapters in California.

Both Max and Wendy have seen the rise in gun violence in the last few years as they have worked along each other and wanted to do more to prevent it. They knew that who we elect on all levels of government matters and that we can turn the tide on gun violence if we elected more candidates who support gun safety measures across the country. They both have experience working with local, state, and federal elected officials, and know that there is so much more to accomplish if there were more who cared about ending this epidemic of gun violence in elected office.
